MiBAC Music Software Releases Music Lessons II, the
Most Comprehensive Chords And Harmony Software Available
Northfield, MN - January,
2001 - MiBAC Music Software has released MUSIC LESSONS II, Chords and
Harmony, the second volume in the MUSIC LESSONS series for Windows and
Macintosh computers. MUSIC LESSONS II is the most comprehensive software
available for teaching and learning Chords and Harmony and follows the
award winning MUSIC LESSONS I.
MUSIC LESSONS II was designed
to develop all four cognitive skills essential to the study of music:
visual recognition, written notation, keyboard skills, and ear training.
With MUSIC LESSONS II you'll learn to NAME, WRITE, PLAY and HEAR chords!
The program's main areas
of study include chord elements, triads, triads ear training, seventh
chords, seventh chords ear training, and roman numeral chord identification.
You can practice every drill in the Naming (visual identification),
Writing (music notation), and Playing (piano and guitar) study activities.
Being able to switch between the three activities at any time keeps
the drills interesting while reinforcing the musical concepts you're
learning. You can choose from among hundreds of different drills formed
by combinations of: the six main areas of study; the Naming, Writing,
and Playing activities; multiple subdrills within each main study area;
multiple levels of difficulty; five clefs; and the piano and guitar
instruments. You can even create your own custom drills to target specific
areas of study. If you have questions, you can always consult the built
in Music Theory Reference that thoroughly explains all concepts related
to the drills. You can print and save detailed progress reports, tracking
individual assignments or cumulative total scores for an unlimited number
of users.
MUSIC LESSONS II is recommended
for intermediate to advanced musicians, ages 12 and up. The program's
scope and flexibility make it effective with a wide range of ages, learning
styles, and educator preferences. Because of its open ended design,
it's easily integrated into any school music curriculum.
MUSIC LESSONS II is available
now from music software retailers or directly from MiBAC Music Software
in single copies ($149 MSRP), Lab Five Packs ($447 MSRP) and Site Licenses
($999 MSRP). The MUSIC LESSONS II software is delivered on a hybrid
