Computer Sound

This is the simplest setup. MUSIC LESSONS II will play sounds through your computer speaker, and you'll use the on-screen Piano and Guitar instruments in MUSIC LESSONS II to answer questions. You can use either the Mac Sound setting or the QuickTime Sound setting in the Options menu. You can use the internal speaker or connect external speakers or headphones to the audio jacks on the back of the Macintosh.
The following setups all use the MIDI Sound setting in the Options menu and require a MIDI interface and a MIDI device. Before we discuss the setups, we'll look at the MIDI hardware that connects the computer to the MIDI device.
